Code of Ethics
In order for the
College Stores Association of New York State to
function effectively, each member must recognize that she or he is a professional,
working to enhance the benefits to the bookstore and must behave with courtesy,
responsibility and fairness to all members. The following principles provide guidance
for conduct and relationships consistent with the purpose and mission of the Association
The association
member provides services, either directly or indirectly, to its members always
respecting the human dignity and the uniqueness of each member irrespective of age,
creed, gender, sexual orientation, race, or national origin.
Non-harassing business
environments will be maintained by all Association Members.
Association Members,
when authorized, shall buy and sell merchandise fairly, reasonably, and in
accordance with methods accepted by the bookstore industry.
